Amber Hess Update

The Pinal County Attorney's Office had requested and received clarification from the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner as to whether Amber Hess, was pregnant at the time of her death. In the findings, there was no fetus, but, it appeared that a termination of a pregnancy occurred 12-24 hours before Amber's murder and that there was evidence of inflammation of the placenta and a partial umbilical cord that could have been due to a spontaneous miscarriage at approximately 10 weeks into the first trimester. Based on the Medical Examiner's opinion, the Pinal County Attorney's Office does not anticipate the filing of new charges against either defendant.
