Teen Killed Near Queen Creek After Shooting

At about 2:30 this morning, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office received several 9-1-1 calls in reference to multiple shots fired and a subject laying face down in the street at Cambria and Altadonna in the Pecan Creek neighborhood, east of the Town of Queen Creek. The victim, who was pronounced deceased on scene, was identified as a 17-year-old Queen Creek High School student. The victim was involved in an altercation with multiple people and a gun fight ensued. Next of kin has been notified. The victim's body was transported to the Pima County Medical Examiner's Office. PCSO Detectives are actively investigating the case.
