"Just For Kids" Toddler Cruise
This is a one-mile hike on May 17th, & is designed for parents & grandparents with small children ages 3 - 6 years old. Along with Ranger B, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” & learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. They will explore the desert from the comfort of the well- manicured Merkle Trail, designed to be barrier-free & offer universal access. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs & strollers. After completing the hike, kids will receive a Junior Ranger badge. Bring water & hats. Families meet at Area 6 at the Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa for the hike at 8 am. The cost is only $6 per vehicle & registration is not required.
