Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department To Review McDowell Mountain Regional Park Trails Master Plan

The Maricopa County Parks & Recreation Department will be reviewing the McDowell Mountain Regional Park Trails Master Plan to ensure that the park has an adequate trail system in place to support increased future use. The department is inviting members of the community to provide feedback on potential amendments to the Trails Master Plan at a public meeting on Wednesday, May 21st from 6 pm to 7:30 pm in the park’s Visitor Center.

The plan, originally developed in 1999, will be reviewed for potential growth opportunities that align with Parks department mission & to determine whether the current trail system meets the needs of the expanding community that surrounds the park. If the plan does not meet these needs, possible amendments to the Trails Master Plan may include modifications to existing trails or the identification of new trails.
