Ellison Nearly Advances

Two hours into the online feed, Brady Ellison made his first appearance in the Men's Individual Archery 1/32 Elimination Round. He ended up beating Canadian John David Burnes 111-89 with each of their respective 12 shots. This was the first time in the Olympics for each archer.

Ellison's next opponent was Canada's Jay Lyon in the 1/16 Round. Unfortunately, an early 8 and successive 9's were not enough to overcome the multitude of 10's with a number of those that barely broke the 10 ring to be counted as such. Lyon ended up with a score of 113-107 to beat Ellison and advance.

Despite the loss, we can be proud of Brady and his performance at the Beijing Olympic Green Archery Field.
