Crews Hard Work Opens Mesa City Plaza Much Sooner

Work crews were able to repair the damage associated with the power outage caused by a water leak in order for the Mesa City Plaza at 20 E. Main St. in order to reopen its use to the general public at 10 am on August 8th.

The building was temporarily closed all day on August 7th, while city facilities and City of Mesa Electric Utility personnel worked to restore power to the building including elevator service, air conditioning, the fire alarm system and other critical business services.

While access to such services as the City Clerk’s Office, Personnel, Planning and Neighborhood Services were affected by the outage other city departments such as police and fire service, the ability to obtain building permits, Utilities services and all city services at other City of Mesa facilities were not affected.
