At approximately 7 am today, Pinal County Deputies responded to a report of an overturned vehicle in the canal on the west side of Hunt Highway just south of Johnson Ranch Blvd., in the San Tan area, south of Queen Creek.
Deputies located a 2003 brown Chevrolet four door sedan upside down in the canal. When the vehicle was being extracted from the canal, the body of 28 year old Patricia Brianne Brown of Johnson Ranch surfaced from under the vehicle.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was transported to the Pima County Medical Examiners Office.
