The City of Mesa Main Library is pleased to welcome the Grantsmanship Training Program to Mesa, Arizona on Sept. 22nd-26th, 2008. The public is invited to participate in this widely recognized “gold standard” of grants training. The Grantsmanship Center (TGCI), the world’s oldest and largest fund development training organization, established in 1972, will sponsor the program. TGCI has trained more than 110,000 staff members of nonprofit and government agencies around the world.
Designed for both novice and advanced grantseekers, the Grantsmanship Training Program is a hands-on learning experience that covers all aspects of researching grants, writing grant proposals, and negotiating with funding sources. During this intensive, five-day workshop participants will learn The Grantsmanship Center’s groundbreaking proposal writing format, the most widely used such format in the world. Instructors will also show how to locate new funding sources for organizations and will work with a team to prepare an actual proposal for funding.
Upon completion of the workshop, graduates receive a full year of free follow-up services through the exclusive Membership Program. These include professional proposal review and access to a comprehensive online database of foundation, corporate and government funding sources.
Tuition for this training program is $895 (a limited number of half-tuition scholarship are available for organizations with annual budgets of less that $300,000.). To ensure personalized attention, enrollment is limited to 30 participants. These workshops often fill to capacity, so early enrollment is recommended. To register, or to apply for a scholarship, call The Grantsmanship Center directly at (800) 421-9512 or (213) 482-9860 or enroll online at tgci.com.
