In yet another effort to make services provided by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office more accessible to citizens, the Sheriff’s Office has taken its cell phone recycling program online. Citizens can donate their old cell phones and chargers to the Sheriff’s Office to be recycled into 9-1-1 cell phones for victims, children and the elderly. Additionally, with the ongoing refurbishment of the PCSO Web site, citizens now can print a mailing label to send the phones in to the Sheriff’s Office instead of dropping them off.
To donate a used cell phone, visit the Sheriff's Departments website, & go to “volunteer services,” click on “victim’s services,” and then on “phone recycling.” This page has directions on printing the labels.
Phone donations can still be dropped off at any Sheriff’s Office substation as well. For more information on the PCSO phone recycling program, contact Marcia Romano at Marcia.Romano@pinalcountyaz.gov or (520) 866-5220.
