The Arizona State Transportation Board will hold its monthly meeting at 9 am, on August 15th, in the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside Council Chambers, 1360 N. Niels Hansen Lane, Pinetop-Lakeside. Local officials and citizens will have an opportunity to address the Board during the meeting.
Major items on the agenda include:
1. Award of a $43.2 million contract to construct State Route 195 (Yuma Area Service Highway) from Avenue B to County 14th Street.
2. Award of a $12.6 million contract to widen State Route 92 in Sierra Vista from Carr Canyon Road to Hunter Canyon Road.
Robert Montoya of Flagstaff represents Navajo, Apache and Coconino Counties on the Board. Montoya founded the Sun Mountain Real Estate & Development Company in 1972. He currently serves on the Northern Arizona Health Care System, the Flagstaff Medical Center Boards and the Wells Fargo Community Advisory Board.
Other board members include: Board Chairman Si Schorr of Pima County; Board Vice-Chairman Delbert Householder of eastern Arizona; Bill Feldmeier of western Arizona; Felipe Zubia of Maricopa County; Bobbie Lundstrom of southeastern Arizona; and Victor Flores of Maricopa County.
