Community Forum To Address Recent “Home Made Explosive Device” Incident at J.O. Combs School
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office will participate in a joint community forum with administrative staff from J.O. Combs Unified School District and Rural Metro Fire Department on Tuesday, April 7th, at 7 pm to address concerns surrounding the incident involving a youth that brought an explosive device from home that occurred at J.O. Combs Middle School on March 30th, 2009.Representatives from the school district and each agency will be available to answer your questions, discuss emergency procedures and to address any concerns surrounding the incident.“It is certainly in the best interest of public safety for us to come together to discuss this serious incident and to work together with our emergency response partners and school officials to educate the community in an effort to alleviate concerns and facilitate an understanding of procedure,” said Sheriff Paul Babeu. “We need to ensure the safety needs of our children are met and educate parents so they are empowered to assist us in the prevention of future incidents of such nature.”
