Poetry Forum

Gila Community College’s April Poetry Forum will be a tribute to Donnafred Hoff. Donnafred was a local artist, author, and personality whose enthusiasm and flair for fun made her a costumed fixture in many a downtown parade. A collection of her art is being exhibited this month at Cobre Valley Center for the Arts and her poetry will be featured at the GCC Poetry Forum on Saturday, April 11th, at 7 pm at vida e caffé located at 157 West Cedar Street in Globe.The Gila Community College Poetry Forum is hosted by Randy Landers who an English Instructor at Gila Community College where he teaches Written Communications, American Literature, Public Speaking, Composition Skills and Writing Fundamentals. Mr. Landers holds a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature from Abilene Christian University in Texas.The Poetry Forum format is open mic and the venue is meant to be comfortable and encourage poets of all ages to share their hearts and thoughts through poetry and prose.
