Globe & Tri-City Firefighters responded to & extinguished a minor fire of suspicious origin on Wednesday evening in Central Heights. Damage was limited to a fence & surrounding brush & grass.
The incident occurred at 5559 McKinney Avenue at 7:45 pm on a property where a vacant residential structure is located. There have been multiple fires at this address over the past 2 years. Several individuals were observed on the property approx. 30 minutes prior to the alarm.
There was no damage to the nearby structure & no injuries reported by the firefighters. The fire is now under investigation by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office & fire authorities.
