Customs & Border Protection Agents Actions Helps Save A Mans Life

A Yuma Sector Border Patrol agent helped save a man’s life, Tuesday afternoon, after being waved down for assistance.

About 4:45 pm, a Border Patrol agent driving on an Arizona highway observed several individuals waving towards him while standing near a parked vehicle. The agent pulled up to the subjects & was informed that a person in the group was having a heart attack; the agent contacted emergency medical services.

The agent observed the subject was unconscious & lying on the ground outside the vehicle. He moved the individual to a cool, shady area & placed cold packs on his body. The Border Patrol agent monitored his vital signs until more advanced medical services arrived.

EMS transported the subject to the Yuma Regional Medical Center where he regained consciousness and is expected to recover from the incident.
