The Gila District of the Boy Scouts of America is holding their annual "Scouting for Food" drive will take place the morning of Saturday, Feb. 7th. Scouts and other volunteers will be collecting non-perishible can goods for the local food banks that morning.
Some scouts will have tables set up outside of participating grocery stores in Globe-Miami. You can also donate by bringing food to Woolf Family Dentistry at 1450 East South Street in Globe, just across for the courthouse.
Despite a tough economy on a local and national level, the scouts are attempting to get an increase in the number of donated food items to food banks around the U.S.
