A federal economic recovery package that may fund Arizona transportation projects continues to be discussed by members of Congress. The the State Transportation Board will hold a study session at 10 am tomorrow, Feb. 5th, at the ADOT Auditorium, 206 S. 17th Avenue in Phoenix to discuss options for allocating economic recovery funding in Arizona, should Congress approve funding. This is a study session only. No action will be taken.
During the past few months, the Arizona Department of Transportation has developed a list of state transportation projects that are ready to start construction within 90 to 180 days.
Currently, Congress is debating and developing the criteria for projects to be eligible for funding. Arizona’s multimodal approach identifies projects incorporating improvements to highways, airports and transit services across the state.
