Globe Jail Searched For Drugs And Contraband

Sheriff John R. Armer, in keeping with his pro-active policy of having the jail facilities searched & cleaned of contraband and/or drugs, reports the following: On March 20th, Gila County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Detention Officers working in conjunction with the Globe PD, accompanied with 3 canines, performed an extensive search of the Globe jail for drugs & contraband. The search lasted 1 hour & included drug screens being performed on certain inmates. A small residue of Marijuana & some contraband was discovered.
