TASER Foundation Honoring Fallen Officers During Earth Hour

The TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers & World Wildlife Fund are proud to honor fallen police officers on March 29th, during Earth Hour, a global campaign to raise awareness of climate change. On that special night, the TASER Foundation will host its annual “Takin the Ride on the Wild Side” fashion show & live auction at the Scottsdale headquarters of TASER International. When Earth Hour begins at 8 pm, the TASER Foundation will darken its lights & unveil 190 battery-powered candles, paying homage to the officers who lost their lives in the United States & Canada last year.

“The TASER Foundation recognizes the worldwide impact of the Earth Hour campaign & sought to partner with this unique event by honoring fallen heroes across North America,” said Rick Smith, CEO & co-founder of TASER International.

During Earth Hour, millions of individuals and organizations will turn off all nonessential lighting for one hour, showing how people working together can make a difference in the fight against climate change. Some of the world’s most iconic skylines, including Phoenix, Chicago, Atlanta & San Francisco in the U.S. -- & more than 30 additional cities around the world -- will go dark for one hour in this dramatic call to action. In Phoenix, prominent buildings including US Airways Center, Chase Field & Dodge Theatre are participating.

On the same night in Scottsdale, the TASER Foundation will be raising money for the families of fallen police officers through its live auction & fashion show hosted at the state-of-the-art TASER International headquarters. During this event, a $120,000 MV Agusta F4CC superbike is up for auction, & guests can see the latest & hottest BMW, Harley, Ducati & Vespa motorcycles. In addition, the evening will include a bag pipe ceremony with a brief candlelight vigil in honor of the fallen heroes. Tickets are $50 & available online at
TASERFoundation.org or at the door.
