The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is currently developing an Environmental Overview (EO) that will be used to update the Winter Storm Management Operations Manual. ADOT is taking the EO to the public through a series of meetings designed to inform, entertain, & gather comments from the public. ADOT invites you to attend one of four public meetings being held across the state in the next 2 weeks to learn more about the process that helps keep State Highways open & safe during winter months.
The public meetings are being held in Tucson, Globe, Show Low, & Flagstaff. Each meeting is scheduled from 5 pm - 7 pm with a short presentation at 5:30 pm. ADOT personnel will be available at these meetings to speak directly with the public & answer questions regarding environmental impacts, safety needs, & cost analysis of current & planned winter storm management applications. A snowplow & the ADOT virtual snowplow simulator will be at each meeting to give the public an idea of how ADOT trains plow operators to run this heavy equipment.
