The Arizona Cardinals made it to a Super Bowl only to be denied the coveted Lombardi Trophy. The extreme short of it is this, the Steelers had to rally to win this game. Arizona didn't let them run away with this game. The Cardinal's can hold their head's high after defying everybody's expectation's by reaching Super Bowl 43, but by putting forth a hard fought battle that has turned this Championship into one that will be remembered for a long time to come.
The key play of the game was the interception thrown by Warner at the 1-yard line that was returned by Pittsburgh's James Harrison for a touchdown to end the first half to go into the half 17-7. After Arizona held the Steeler's to a field goal, the Card's commited a foul giving Pittsburgh a second chance. To Arizona's credit, they did hold the Steeler's to a field goal, once again. Any momentum Arizona had throughout the game was destroyed by all the penalties called against the Cardinals. After an amazing comeback in the 4th to take the lead 23-20, Arizona's defense allowed Pittsburgh to come back and take the lead with 2:30 to go. It ended with Santonio Holmes catching the winning touchdown pass with 35 seconds left.
