Here’s another construction alert for the Ironwood-Gantzel Roadway Improvement Project in Pinal County. Beginning Monday, Dec. 31st, 2007, drivers should expect heavy delays when traveling both north & southbound on Ironwood. Both the north & southbound lanes will be channeled to the west on a temporary detour from about Houston to the US 60. This is to allow crews to build the new northbound lanes. Travel onto Baseline, both east & west, will be limited during this time. Drivers can proceed to the US 60 & exit at either Signal Butte or Idaho to access Baseline Rd. Motorists traveling & exiting US 60 should also be alert for possible delays & backups. These restrictions will remain in place for approx. 1 month.
