Gila Community College And Freeport McMoRan’s March 8th Career Fair

Gila Community College participated in Freeport McMoRan’s career fair on March 8th. GCC has partnered with Freeport McMoRan to offer 2 workforce development programs. The 1st is an Electrical & Instrumentation Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree that provides the student an opportunity to develop & upgrade skills needed to be productive & successful in industrial electronics & instrumentation occupations. The 2nd is an Industrial Plant Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree which focuses on skills needed for mechanical maintenance & repair occupations. The internship portion of these programs will be completed at Freeport McMoRan’s operation in Miami or at another sponsoring company’s location. The classroom & hands-on portion of the programs will be held at GCC’s new Regional Skill Center. Both programs begin with the fall semester on August 18th.
