The Arizona Dept. of Transportation has announced that Gila Community College has been awarded $24,000 to be used for the following Workforce Development Training programs: Heavy Equipment, Construction Math, Commercial Drivers License training, & Welding Technology. This is the 2nd grant that Gila Community College has received from ADOT and funding is used for training adult learners who aspire to enter the highway construction trades.
The scholarships will pay for tuition for full-time enrollment status. If a student is successful the 1st semester he/she will be eligible for scholarship funding for the 2nd semester.
