The Pinal Co. Public Health Services District has not received any flu vaccine for children yet. Upon receipt, children can receive a flu shot without an appointment at their local Pinal Co. Public Health clinic. That info will be posted on Pinal Co.'s toll free Information Hotline at 1-866-763-7252. Flu shots through the Pinal Co. Dept. of Health are just $15, a bargain compared to the cost of cold and flu medicines or trips to the doctor's office.
In order to reduce that chance of catching the flu this season, the Public Health Dept. recommends frequent hand washing using soap & warm water for 30 seconds. If you become ill, it's important to stay home to help prevent spreading the illness to others.
The number to call for appointments is 1-888-431-1311.
