Shoot For A Cure Fund-Raising Event Results


The First Annual Shoot for A Cure fund-raising event was hosted by the Globe-Miami Gun Club on April 12th & 13th. The event raised funds for the American Cancer Society Copper Valley Relay for Life. Gun Club members raised a whopping $1,875! Target Shooters on Saturday raised $645 at the open range shoot & the Trap Shooters on Sunday outdid themselves by raising $1,230!

Various prizes were provided by local businesses including a 30/30 rifle from Action Pawn. Jim Ownsby won the 30/30 Rifle & Jim Grider won a Nikon 3X9 Scope. Gun Club member volunteers put on the event & cooked the food; lunch was provided by the Gun Club & the Copper Valley Relay for life provided the beef for a Pit BBQ. Gun Club volunteers are to be commended for putting on a great event!
