Suspicious Fire Only Destroys Storage Shed In Claypool

A fire of suspicious origin only destroyed a storage shed at 4329 Hammond in Claypool on the afternoon of July 17th. The shed and its contents were totally destroyed.

The metal clad building was fully involved upon the arrival of Tri-City’s first responding Engine Company, and was spreading to adjacent brush and tree’s. Firefighters contained the fire to the building and surrounding trees.

The cause the blaze is undetermined but appears to be arson related & of a suspicious nature. Fire officials and Gila County Sheriff’s Office are continuing their investigation. Tri-City Fire Officials are requesting that if anyone has any information related to the fire please contact the Tri-City Fire Department or Joe Bracamonte at Globe Fire Department.

Globe & Canyon Fire Department’s assisted Tri-City through their Automatic Aid Agreement. No personnel were injured during the blaze.
