Registration for the upcoming Arizona Game and Fish Department Hunter Education Class will be Saturday, July 26th, starting at 9 am until noon at the Claypool Safeway. Class size will be limited to 40 students. There is an $8 fee for the course.
The class will start Aug. 5th from 6-9 pm at the Dr. Charles Bejarano School on Ragus Road. It will continue on Tuesday & Thursday nights culminating on Saturday, August 30th, with Range Day & Graduation at the Globe-Miami Gun Club’s Shooting Range on Bixby Road.
Students must be at least 10 years of age by August 30th in order to receive their Arizona Hunter Education Card & Certificate. The Hunter Education Program is required by law for youth ages 10 to 14 to hunt big game in the State of Arizona. The course is open to all ages (10 yrs. & older). Family participation is encouraged. The class is sponsored by the Globe Miami Gun Club & taught by volunteer instructors certified by the Arizona Game & Fish Department.
The course is designed to teach safe handling of firearms & ammunition in the home & in the field, safe hunting habits, outdoor ethics, outdoor survival, wildlife management techniques & much more. Call John Stemm at (928) 425-3372 for more information.
