31st Annual All-American Beef Cookout Winners

Winners of the 31st Annual All-American Beef Cookout held Sept. 13th, at the Gila Co. Fairgrounds:

Business Other Cuts - 1st Place went to Cooking Contractors John Marcanti of Marcanti Electric & Peter Oddonetto of Oddonetto Construction for their "Bleu Chilies Steak with Grilled Polenta". Thanks to John Marcanti & Peter Oddonetto for donating their $100 cash prize to 4-H.

Business Other Cuts - 2nd Place went to Shell Rapid Lube for their "Beef Rib Eye". Thanks to A.J. Gore & Shell Rapid Lube for donating their $50 cash prize to 4-H.

Business Other Cuts - 3rd Place went to APS for their "Jack Daniels BBQ Steak". Thanks to Jody Hanson, Bill Truchan, Mark Long, Mike Deimer, Jack Naggard & APS for donating their $30 cash prize to 4-H.

Business Ground Beef - 1st Place went to Big O Tires for "Mom's Old Fashion Pan Fried Cheese Burgers". Thanks to A.J. Gore & Big O Tires for donating their $100 cash prize to 4-H.

Business Ground Beef - 2nd Place went to the Gila Co. Attorney's Office for their "Outlaw Margarita Burgers". Thanks to Debbie Holmes, Minda Thompson, Daisy Flores & the Gila County Attorney's Office for donating their $50 cash prize to 4-H.

Individual Ground Beef - 1st Place went to Luana Smothers for her "Teriyaki Flank Steak & Grilled Vegetables".

Individual Ground Beef - 2nd Place went to Diane Shipman for "Skip's Flank Steak".

TOP SCORE WINNER OF THE TRAVELING TROPHY ... AND BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR GOES TO BIG O TIRES FOR "MOM'S OLD FASHION PAN FRIED CHEESE BURGERS".

Special thanks to all the contestants including The Copper Country News who donated their $30 cash prize to 4-H; Southwest Gas who donated their $30 cash prize to 4-H; Liberty High School who donated their $30 cash prize to 4-H; & the Gila Co. Rodeo Committee.

WINNERS OF THE GILA COUNTY FAIR 8TH ANNUAL SALSA/HOT SAUCE CONTEST HELD SEPT. 13th.

Salsa - 1st place went to Cliff Horn; 2nd place went to Matt Bolinger & 3rd place went to Liberty High School.


Hot Sauce - 1st place went to Cheryl Wickizer; 2nd place went to Shawn Dell Wilson & 3rd place went to Megan Martinez.
