The Arizona State Transportation Board will meet at 1 pm today to discuss & possibly take action on the acceleration of an I-10 widening project in the West Valley. The meeting will be held in the ADOT Auditorium, 206 South 17th Ave. in Phoenix.
During this special meeting, the board is expected to consider a plan to accelerate the widening of I-10 from Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) to Sarival Ave. The proposed acceleration plan includes the participation of the cities of Avondale, Goodyear & Litchfield Park & would advance by nearly four years the widening of this segment of I-10.
The State Transportation Board awards highway & airport construction contracts, monitors projects & annually adopts a 5-year construction program.
