Land on Cartwright Ranch Sold

The Tonto National Forest has announced that 28 acres of ecologically significant land has been purchased with funds provided by Land and Water Conservation Fund & Federal Land Transaction Facilitation Act of 2000. The land is part of the 57-acre Cartwright Ranch, adjacent to the Seven Springs Recreation area, located within the boundaries of the Cave Creek Ranger District, Tonto National Forest, approx. 12 miles north of the Town of Cave Creek in northern Maricopa County.


The parcel's completely surrounded by National Forest System lands. Private ownership of the property was acquired through a Homestead Entry Survey (H.E.S. 318) patented on Oct. 11th, 1919. Cartwright Ranch is nestled in a small basin with lush desert riparian vegetation & perennial water.
