A fire broke out at a residential structure at 721 Indian Ave. shortly before 1 am this morning. The entire structure was destroyed.
The Tri-City Fire Department’s first responding engine encountered a fully involved home upon arrival. They were able to contain the fire to the structure. An home adjacent to the fire did receive minor damage to a portion of its exterior. An overhead electrical power line was also burned severing service to several other homes on Indian Ave. An APS Crew worked to restore electricity to the affected homes.
The home had been vacant & was reportedly in the process of being remodeled by the owner, Mr. Gustavo Curiel after having been damaged in a previous fire in June, which destroyed 2 homes at this same location & damaged one other home.
Although the fire is of suspicious origin, no exact cause of the fire has been determined as of this release. Tri-City Fire Dept. officials continued their investigation this morning when daylight conditions permitted them to do so.
Globe & Canyon Fire Departments assisted Tri-City Fire & were on scene until after 4 am. There were no reported injuries to firefighters or residents.
