Gila Community College Has Made Their Pick
Gila Community College has named Patricia Burke as the Dean of both Gila Pueblo & San Carlos Campuses. Burke began work with Gila Community one year ago and served as the public information officer for the college during that time. She has also worked as an adjunct faculty member in the areas of computer science & business for over seven years & has served as an officer on the Pinal Mountain Foundation for High Education, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships for students attending Gila Community College.
Dean Burke holds a Master Degree-Organizational Management. As the Dean of Gila Pueblo & San Carlos she will be responsible for recruitment of students & qualified faculty. Program development & course development in order to community needs is also in the scope & focus of her new position. “I am honored to accept the deanship and very proud of my association with Gila Community College. I look forward to the challenge of assisting the college with its growth,” says Burke. Dr. Stephen Cullen, Senior Dean, adds, “Dean Burke has a keen understanding of the challenges we face as both a community and as a college. Her skills and experience are a perfect match for helping the college to remain responsive to community needs.”
Patricia completes the leadership team composed of Dr. Stephen Cullen, Senior Dean, & Pamela Butterfield, Dean of the Payson Campus. Gila Community College continues to provide quality workforce training & academic transfer opportunities to major universities.
