“Wings to Fly”

The Arizona Department of Transportation is sponsoring, "Wings to Fly" with the purpose of encouraging women aged 11-19 to pursue professions in aviation & aerospace by giving them the opportunity to learn from women who have paved the way in these career paths. This is the 2nd year "Wings to Fly" has been available for young women to learn from mentors. Last year’s program was the recipient of the 2007 NASAO (National Association of State Aviation Officials) Aviation Education Program Award. This year’s program runs from 8 am - 5 pm on March 8th, at the Challenger Space Center, 21170 North 83rd Avenue in Peoria. Event registration runs through Feb. 29th.
