It’s a day of cool activities at the Arizona Museum for Youth guaranteed to make a splash. So “water” you waiting for? Put on your favorite Hawaiian shirt & head over to the museum on Saturday, July 12th, from 10 am to 3 pm for a day dripping with fun surprises & activities.
Kids can quench their creativity by making bubble shapers, creating super sand castles, constructing sailboats to launch in one of AMY’s own play pool “oceans,” or even dress up like everyone’s favorite clown fish, Nemo. The entire family can wind down in the gallery classroom while watching Finding Nemo, or opt to get low in the limbo contest & chomp on chilly Otter Pops.
Whatever you chose, it’s sure to be a heat-beating blast. Even better, no registration is required & the beach party is free with admission. The museum’s general admission rate is $5.50 for ages one year and older. Members & children younger than 12 months are free. The Arizona Museum for Youth is located at 35 N. Robson St. in downtown Mesa. For more information on museum membership, or the AMY beach party event, visit: arizonamuseumforyouth.com or call (480) 644-2467.
