Napolitano To Open Office On Aging

Gov Napolitano will cut the ribbon & officially open the new “Office on Aging,” Tomorrow morning. This is a first for Arizona - rather than relying solely on an advisory council, the state will now have a unit devoted to understanding our state’s swiftly changing demographics.

Arizona’s senior population will triple in the next 20 years. The new "Office on Aging" will complement ongoing programs to address issues like senior health coverage, adult protective services, & independent living programs, & will further the Governor’s emphasis on investment in the independence & well-being of Arizona seniors.

“This is the next step in elevating the issue of aging,” said Gov Napolitano. “Arizona should be a good place to grow up in & a good place to grow old in.”
