Gila Community College will host a Poetry Forum at the Gila Pueblo Campus on Feb. 9th, from 7 - 9 pm in Room 522. The forum is offered as an opportunity for poets to share their work with others. The mission of the GCC Poetry Forum is to demonstrate the relevance and centrality of poetry to the general public through the oral presentation of poetry. The purpose is to also introduce & develop an appreciation of poetry in elementary, junior, & senior high school students.
Mr. Randy Landers, English Instructor at GCC, is coordinating the event at the college. All poets are welcome to take the stage. This effort is to establish performing arts at Gila Community College. It will be an evening of expression & an opportunity to meet friends & neighbors who appreciate poetry. Admission is free & the public is invited to attend.
